TheBlack Cat Tour is an 1896 poster by the Swiss painter Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen. It was used to promote the famous Montmartre cabaret founded in 1881 by Rodolphe Salis. The Cabaret du Chat-Noir was one of the great meeting places of bohemian Paris. The black cat, so named in reference to an old cat of the neighborhood, has inspired many artists, many have made their weapons in this cabaret.
